Fundamentals of Interaction
Work’s Description
This work is an analysis of interaction, which I have been working on both in design practice and academia, through artistic practices. There is no concept of interaction that deals with a large number of phenomena at the same time in order to explain phenomena. Interaction is not only a process that takes place in communication structures such as sender and receiver. It is necessary to consider it as a temporal flow in which there are communicative forms, in which influencing, being influenced and action form a holistic experience, and in which at least one of the actors is an agent. Establishing a framework today is important for understanding/exploring the origins of ecological and social devastation in the world caused by interactions that do not take responsibility for their agency. Art and design offer a broad perspective for the holistic analysis of phenomena. In this framework, art can constitute a ground within the framework of intention-action for the analysis of the little-considered agency dimension of interaction. The study is a practical inquiry and analysis produced using this ground.
The works were conceptually arranged and labelled in such a way as to indicate a transformation from intention to agency.
